Hi, I’m Rick.
I’m an infant sleep consultant and a Dad.
I’ve been a scientist for many years, earning a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s and a PhD, before working as a researcher at world-leading institutions.
My sleep consultancy journey began when my wife and I had our daughter, Penelope.
The first few months were tiring but rewarding, until she hit her first sleep problems around 5 months.
She would wake up so many times at night, leaving us all tired, grumpy and sleep-deprived. My wife and I would constantly argue over the smallest things, and when Penelope went to bed we were just dreading to hear her cry, knowing we would get another poor night of sleep, instead of enjoying our well-deserved time off.
The situation only got worse when she started nursery and napped a grand total of 10 minutes per day!
We needed solutions, and we needed them fast.
We contacted a sleep consultant who simply asked us a few questions about our daily routine and gave us a suggestion that felt generic and not tailored to our little girl.
